Offering this very nice, clean No. 3 size (9" long) (smooth bottom) smooth plane retaining about 98% of it's original paint, this plane is in very good working condition with nice solid rosewood stained hardwood handle and front knob. The tote handle and knob has some stain and clear finish worn off, but is solid, and not cracked, still functional, good smooth finish. This plane cutter iron is 1.75" wide, and marked "FULTON MADE IN U.S.A." on the cutter. There is no cracks or rust in the metal castings, very little wear a few tiny edge dings, a few minor scratches on the bottom. The bottom is clean, flat and smooth, some minor staining noted on the bottom mostly, no rust, very clean, little sign of use. There is plenty of length on the sharp cutter, and all the adjustments work smoothly. This 1930's era model, features a press form steel frog, very sturdy, and has both cutter depth adjustment, and lateral adjustment, and a very nice cap cover design! All adjustment work just fine. This is one of the cleanest we have seen of this size by Fulton in a long time. The quality of this plane is comparable to Sargent or Stanley, made to last a life time and then some! The size and quality of casting are similar to that of the Stanley No. 3 size smooth plane. A very nice smooth plane, well preserved, and in very good working order!
