FULPER POTTERY, BLUE CRYSTALLINE VASE, LOTS OF

For Sale I have a Lovely Vase made by The Fulper Pottery Company of Flemington, NJ. The Vase is done in one of Fulper's most highly collected glazes. It is done in their Famous Blue Crystalline Glaze with a touch of Flambe'. The vase appears to be Hand Thrown and is considered a Ovoid Form. I am told this is a mold made piece based on the raised signature mark though. This also appears to be shape number 583 in the Fulper Catalogue Pages. The Vase displays medium Blue to Dark Blue Snowflake Crystals throughout the Vase with some areas having much more concentration of crystals than others. When looking at the Vase you can see the Mottling exploding into the Snowflake Crystals. Truly a lovely Vase and a joy to offer this piece to that Avid Fulper Collector. This Vase has good weight and form. The exterior top lip shows a hint of their Flambe' Glaze surrounding it. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no issues to report. There isn't even a Glaze Pop or Pin Pop which is very common with this glaze. The Piece is signed on the bottom with the "Fulper" Raised Vertical Mark but it is obscured. The Mark appears to have been fused during the firing. I have seen this happen before as it seems to only happen with the Raised Vertical Signature Mark. If the raised portion touches any part of the kiln bottom during firing it causes the clay to fuse during the high firing of this glaze. This is truly a wonderful piece of American Art Pottery and I'm sure the Lucky winner will not be disappointed.
