A French Morbier/Comtoise painted tallcase clock. A pine case faux painted in a colorful floral motif. The pendulum has wheat and grapes as its decorative theme. A Roman numeral enameled face, with date hand. As with all clocks of this type, it strikes the hour twice and the half hour once. This clock has a gong strike rather than a bell, which is typical of a Morbier clock circa late 19th early 20th century. In running condtion with winding crank.
