Unique secretary or desk with additional drawers and hand painted floral early 1900's appears as a lingerie chest when the desk door is closed. Antique cream background with gilt edging around the top and sides as well as the bottom apron and short feet. Four floral painted bouquets on the drawer fronts along with gold painted designs matching the scrolling on either side of the piece. Tiny brass knobs. The interior houses a slide out writing space with matching knobs above which sits 2 drawers with additional painting and 5 arched cubicles fir display or storage. Excellent condition with only tiny nicks on feet etc. from wear. Measures 50.75H X 14.75D X 23.5L writing surface 27 7/8 from floor with door open totally open 38L.
