FRENCH Scenic CHARGERS K&G HP Plates ANTIQUE
We are offering Two 13 inch chargers and nine 8-3/4 inch dinner plates all hand painted with French country scenes of travelers and people stopping at inns, plus loral decorations all signed by E DuCroc. All circa early 1900's.
The condition of each piece is as follows:
Charger 1: painted with 4 men at a stream. Rim chip (see photo), some surface scratches, no crazing.
Charger 2: with tavern scene. Very Good condition, no crazing or damage seen. Some minor surface scratches.
Plate 1: Man in a chair adjusting his stockings. Rim chip, some crazing.
Plate 2: Three people. Tight stress spider and stained on back. Good overall condition.
Plate 3: Two men with walking sticks. Hairline and some fleabite-size manufacturer flaws.
Plate 4: Man and waitress, table and chair made from sawn barrels. Rim chip.
Plate 5: Couple dancing. Stress line and small flea bites.
Plate 6: Men at ruins. Large rim chip.
Plate 7: Old woman escorted by man. Pitmark in center
Plate 8: Dancers in front of house. Rim chip and hairline.
Plate 9: Man at table. Small rim chip, hairline.
Blanks are by Keller & Guerin, Luneville. Decoration by E DuCroc for Lille 1767. K&G mark is painted over in the same green used for the hand-done decorator's mark.
