Gorgeous French Regency walnut desk from 19th century France has beautiful graining to the wood. The main portion walnut with tulipwood panels and top banding surrounding the leather blue/green top with gold tooling outlined with black decorative tooling.A softer tone with hint of blue as opposed to the masculine green most often found in leather. Ornate bronze trim outlines the perimeter of the top with mitered corners. Bronze ornate mounts on the knees and feet as well as solid bronze trim along each side of the legs,along the frame of the desk and outlining each of the eight panels with additional bronze mounts. Finished on both sides to be used out in a room. Interesting handles on the two spacious drawers,dove tailed and fitting into slots either side of the drawer as opposed to center slot for ease in sliding.Excellent materials and craftsmanship. Few very small light blackish spots on the center portion of the leather top from use but certainly do not stand out,otherwise excellent condition. Measures 30.5H X 47L X 24D.
