A early 19th Century French Napoleonic heavy cavalry (Cuirassier's and Dragoons) sword with a large three bar brass hilt stamped with manufacturer proof marks, leather bound wooden grip, and a straight single edged double fullered blade with a spear point.. The sword is in its original steel scabbard with two suspension rings. Measurements: overall length with the scabbard: 46 ¾ inches (118,7cm), Length of the sword without the scabbard: 45 inches (114,3cm). Length of the blade: 38 5/8 inches (98,2cm). There is some pitting to the bottom of the scabbard otherwise it is in good condition.
