Antique circa 1800 AD. French Napoleonic officer's sword de Chasseurs a Cheval with a slightly curved single-edged blade with a broad fuller, a brass stirrup hilt engraved with foliage, and a wooden grip bound with copper wire. Overall length: 83 cm (32 5/8 in). Condition: The blade is rusty and pitted showing some abrasion. References: Des Sabres Et Des Epees by Michel Petard, Tome premier page 117.
