This is a French silverleafed wooden hunt "trophy". It is placed in a velvet lined shadow box. It is circa 1900 and in very good condition. This carving depicts a rifle, fork, goose, and rabbit, held by ribbons and vines of bellflowers. Stylistic of Louis XVI, this carving has been framed in green velvet. The hand hammered ring attaches to the back of the frame, for easy wall hanging. The silver wood against the deep green velvet gives this piece a prominent statement.
