This beautiful French crossover (toi et moi) ring is set with an old European-cut diamond weighing approx. 50 ct., and a .70 ct. sapphire. The ring dates from the late 19th century and is typical of French design. The curved shoulders are set with rose-cut diamonds and mounted in silver and 18k gold.
Circa 1890, unmarked.
3/4 in. (1.9 cm.) across; length of diamond combined with sapphire-1/2 in. (1.3 cm.); Depth of gemstones including mount is 3/8 in. (1 cm.).
