19th century French hand carved gilt console table with marble top. Excellent condition. Bits of the red base paint peeks out beneath the gilt in a few small areas. Measures 40L X 34.5H X 14.5D. Hand carved deep apron with beading and intricate design work and below open work swags with rosebuds ,joined with elongated block carvings featuring rosettes on all sides. Ornate carvings at the knees. Smaller matching blocks further down the semi-reeded legs connecting the scribed under structure with gilt finial. Removable marble top also in excellent condition with no nicks,chips or cracks in antique beige with cream and gold veining. Handsome piece wherever it might be used.
