A very fine French, Charles X, c. 1840, opal glass liquor set, including decanter, six glasses and a tray. All the pieces are decorated with gold lines which are slightly worn in places but commensurate with its age. Two of the glasses have a "flea bite" (very tiny chip) but otherwise this very dramatic set of opal glassware is in beautiful condition. Note: the sizes are Decanter 6.5" tall 3.0" diameter, Glasses 3.25" tall 1.75" diameter, Tray 8.75" diameter. The silver gilt stopper was custom made at a later date.
