Beautiful gilt hand carved bed canopy or ceil de lit from France C.1860.Arched in the center with a good size return to the wall. The old hooks are visible for hanging swags or a full curtain. Sizing works for any size bed. Hooks at either side on the interior with wire loops for support with ceiling mounted hooks for stability. The back ends could either be nailed directly into the wall or wall attachments could be added. The patina to the water gilding is lovely of course minor wear to the gilt with age as expected. Measures 50L X 7H X 10D. Can be shipped via Federal Express with a zip code.
