Fraternal/TT 17 CC Pin

I have been unable to idnetify the origins of this little gold filled pin. The makers mark is for C.(Charles)D. Reese New York, New York, in business as late as 1931 for sure, makers of 10 and 14K gold. sterling silver and plated class rings and pins, fraternity pins, badges and medals.(as per Rainwaters American Jewelry Manufacturers. The way the letters and numbers are on the front, my guess was "T? Technical Community College" and the 17 may mean 1917. This is only a guess on my part and probably is way off base. The pin itself is in great condition, but someone has bent the closure part of the pin back and it won't open all the way to accept the pin stem. I am sure this is something a jeweler could fix quickly and inexpensively. I have old eyes and they just won't focus well enough to venture in and try to fix it. The pin measures approx. 1/2"X1/4". The shipping fees quoted are for first class/No insurance in USA.
