Collectible thimbles by Franklin Porcelain. Cream porcelain with 24K gold accents. Has a fine painting of a cardinal and I think a gardenia flower and foilage and the words: Richmodena cardinalis (which by the way I have no idea what it means) Measures 3/4" dia x 1 1/8" h. Signed on the inside with the Franklin Porcelain logo the it says underneath: Limited Edition Fine Bone China Copyright symbol 1979 F.P. Peter Barret (?) Not sure about last name, its in script and hard to read. This one is not in perfect condition. It has a hairline crack going through the o in Richmodena and the a in cardinalis. Does show 2 tiny spots of loss of the 24k gold edge near crack but no chip and one small faint line. Still very pretty but priced accordingly.
