This magnificent lamp by Fontana Arte, circa 1960s, features a half-sphere base with silvery violet iridescence, and glass sphere with protruding dimples. It is unsigned, but our attribution is firm and based on a lot sold at auction by Phillips in New York in 2006. Condition is very good. There are no visible cracks to base and sphere, and the only visible losses are a few tiny chips from the inside edge of the sphere where it fits into the base. This fixture accepts a standard socket and is wired for use in the U.S. Additional images forwarded upon request. ( za- )
