This is a flax spinning wheel made of quarter- sawn oak with maple turned parts. It has its bobbin and fly wheel, which has been repaired, but still turns. The bobbin has a chip out of the rim. The bracket which holds the fly wheel is broken off in its holes. There are signs of wear on the spinning wheel. It appears to have been well used, but cared for.
