Fishing Boat West Beach Marina Painting NW ART
Click thumbnails for expanded view.
Fishing Boat @ West Beach Marina Water Painting. On the back it says " Aurora W. Beach Oct 29-70. I assume that the boat is called Aurora and it is docked at the W. Beach Marina for refueling. There is the Taxaco Star sign included in the scene .
I think that this is the West Beach Marina on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. Although there could certainly be another place in the NorthWest called "West Beach" with a Marina.
In any event is is an original painting of oil on stiff canvas or heavy linen like paper. ( I don't know enough about the different paints) The signature has been trimmed off of the bottom. There is still just a bit of some lettering visible but not enough to identify the artist.
It measures 11"x 8 1/2".
The condition is good. There is a pin hole at the top right. Then as mentioned already, the signature has been trimmed off. It is unframed.
