Fireplace Fender, Bell Metal, English c.1790-1810

To a fine and rare fireplace fender, cast in sections of bell metal brass. The piece retains the original bell metal botom pan and the fron is serpentine in form with two courses of applied ribs. The fron is ppierced and highly engraved with Prince of Whales of feathers and other rich motives. The fender has a small repair and is in very good condition with crisp engraving. Hand cleaned and lacquered.
