Fifties Retro Chalkware Latin Dancer Table Lamp

Unavailable
Fifties retro red chalkware Latin dancer table lamp, circa 1952. This lamp would have looked great in Lucy and Ricky Ricardo's New York apartment. With the maracas and ruffled sleeve shirt, this mid-20th century piece captures the form and movement of Latin dance that was so popular in the fifties. It measures about 33 1/4 inches high, including the harp and black bakelite finial, and weighs about 10 1/4 pounds. Impressed on the back of the base is "COPYRIGHT 1952, MAGIDSON BROS., CHICAGO, ILL." The lamp does not have the original lampshade and is being offered without a shade. The lamp functions very well. There are some very small spots where the red glaze has flaked off, some roughness around the opening for the cord, and a small, shallow chip near the bottom of the base to the left of the cord. There is moderate surface wear but no apparent cracks. There is a heart drawn on the dancer's derriere that looks like it has T.S. + J.S. in it. The bottom of the lamp is covered with somewhat tattered black felt. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging will be $15 - $25, depending upon the zipcode of the buyer.
