Vintage 1950's Ransburg tole painted metal wall-mounted paper towel holder, in glossy black with pink and yellow daisies and blue, white and red accent flowers. This very well made retro piece has the manufacturer's raised trademark: an artist's palette with RANSBURG, GENUINE HAND PAINTED, INDIANAPOLIS, MADE IN USA and US. PAT. 2,555,885 (1951). The holder has two slotted holes on the back for hanging, and spring-loaded ends for easily attaching and detaching the paper towel roll. The piece is solid and functional, with light surface wear and a bit of oxidation on the bottom back edge. The painting is vivid and almost entirely intact.
