This lovely bronze after the German sculptor, Johann Philipp Ferdinand ( Fritz ) Preiss (1882-1943), depicts an exotic female dancer. It measures 16" high, 20" wide and 7.25" deep and weighs an estimated 30-35 lbs. Affixed to a variegated black and grey marble base. Signed "F Preiss". This piece was photographed in low light conditions, and the dark area toward the right side of some images is simply a shadow. There are no other markings other than the signature. This item resides on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York and may be seen by appointment. Additional images forwarded upon request.
