Fenton Glass Blue Hobnail Shoe Slipper With Cat Kitten. This piece has a little cat or kitten's head popping out of the slipper at front top, it measures just over 6" long by just over 2 3/4" tall at the tallest part.Fenton Glass was established in 1905 by Frank and John Fenton in Martin's Ferry, Ohio, their earliest pieces were hand painted on blanks from other glass companies. Unable to get the quantity of glass they needed, they decided to make their own glass and 1907 the opened their own glass factory in Williamstown, West Virginia. For 102 years, pieces made prior to 1973 are not marked with the Fenton Logo. Fenton has hand crafted some of our loveliest American collectible art glass and continues to be a family run business. This is an earlier unmarked piece. This piece is in excellent condition, no chips and would be a lovely addition to your collection!
