For Sale is a Beautiful piece of Carnival Glass made by the Fenton Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia. The pattern is known as "Dragon and Lotus" and the shape is a Bowl.
The Bowl depicts alternating images of Flying Dragons and Open Petaled Lotus Flowers. Each image is encircled in an oval with a side profile of the Lotus flower in between. There is a busy inner band that resembles Dugans' Soutache pattern and it is finished in the center of the bowl with Lotus flowers in teardrop shaped lines and a stylized flower in between. The bowl has a collar base and a plain exterior. The bowl is also adorned with a saw tooth edge. The color of this gem is Marigold and there is great iridescence on the interior and exterior. You can see hues of Blue, Gold, Purple, Green and Fuchsia with no loss to the iridescence that I can see.
The Bowl is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is unsigned but guaranteed to be Vintage Fenton.
The piece was made Circa 1915-1920.
