This large Fenton vase is in the Burmese color, one of the most unusual and sought after colors in glass production. The process, originally developed by the Mt. Washington Glass Co. in the 1800s received its name when a piece was presented to Queen Victoria. She remarked that the colors looked like a "Burmese sunset." The process was lost when Mt. Washington closed but Fenton, after much trial and error, was successful in re-creating the process and coloring in the 1960s. A truly beautiful shelf piece. Free shipping within continental U.S.
