Shades of Sam Spade,(Humphrey Bogart) this is a classic 1938/42 fedora. Made of Beaver Felt by Dobbs Hat Co. of Pontiac, Michigan. Dobbs is one of the foremost hat makers, and this is a classic. No damage I can see, no holes, no stains,the inside is very clean also, there are 2 scuff marks on the inside leather hat band. The size label inside the hat says this is a size 7, the measurements are 4.5 inch tall crown, 2.5 inch brim, 2 inch wide hat band, and the inside measurements are 21 inches around.
