I obtained this rare and beautiful hand done model from a local Nuns Convent where it was donated many decades ago. It is of an unknown church in Europe. The model made of fine old world wood stands 18 inches tall on it's original 15 x 20 inch board. The nuns knew little of it's orgin with the exception of a old postcard showing the church and an inscription of where it was mailed to the United States. The nuns would hook up Christmas lights to it every holiday and display it in their sanctuary. Each window of the church has beautiful hand painted silk paper of bibical sceens and saints. The artist behind this masterpiece left no errors behind when it came to perfecting his conception of the actual church. It is one of the finest Folk Art models I have ever seen. The sign above the church door reads: "Anna" 1842. Anyone who can identify where this church is would gather much appreciation from us. Wonderful relic in every respect.
