FABULOUS VIntage floating opal Cluster Maltese Cross 4 strand layered necklace HUGE pendant

When you look back in the fifties, you see see some of the most extravagant designs with layers and layers of baubles.The hand worked ones like Schreiner made each piece with some very extravagant designs. This pendant made with vintage parts has a genuine floating opal center. It is is not only huge ( 3" tall) but also 1" thick and loaded with vintage baubles from the 40 and 50's. You can see the form of the cross on this massive hand wired piece as it hangs from the 4 strand faceted black and aurora borealis necklace ( marked west germany on the clasp). THe pendant has an antiqued brass filigree back and has good weight so it hangs well on the necklace. Very gothic and exotic this piece is magnificent when on as you can see by our model.
