Fabulous antique Art Deco white gold 12k black onyx B initial signet ring, unisex, size 9-1/2. Measures 11/16" wide, band tapers to 3.5mm at the back of the ring shank, has a low side profile rise of just 1/8", and weighs a extremely sturdy 8.5 grams. Features a cushion shaped black onyx stone with tapered edge and an embossed letter B initial in the center. The stone is securely bezel set and measures 13mm x 11mm. The mounting is extremely well made, sturdy solid construction with gorgeous engraved scroll work deeply carved into the shoulders of the band. This has been carefully tested by two separate bench jewelers and is guaranteed minimum 12k solid white gold in content/purity. It is maker marked D&F on the inside of the ring shank. About the maker: Dattlebaum & Friedman- 15 John Street- New York, New York- jewelers and retailers. Manufactures of gold finger rings. Advertised in the trade publication Jewelers Circular from 1910 to 1950. In outstanding well cared for condition with no issues to note. Circa 1920.
