From a collection we offer a magnificent white enamel Austrian armorial silver cigarette case. To the top is an armorial with a s coronet, a helm, a winged griffin holding a falcon, the initials are TV. Beneath is a Latin description "Opressum Defendo"
It dates from the beginning of the 20th century. It opens with a sapphire mounted clasp. To the top there are also gold leaves in the enamel.
Very much in the style of Faberge though it bears the marks of the Austrian Empire. The head mark of the Empire as well as "S" marks for the maker..
I very good condition with a couple of very minor rubbing to the rear of the case. Both the top and rear are perfect.
