This is a true exceptional Japanese ikebana basket made of bamboo, dated Taisho Era (1912-1926). This unique ikebana basket has a beautiful unique root handle, it's very rare to find a basket like this. We visited a lot of store in kyoto antique street and we never saw one like this. This basket is from a private collector. This basket is in excellent condition. The weaving is absolutely strong, the body has beautiful lacquer finished.Exactly as seen on the photo.
