Offering this mini size 0-1/2" advertising micrometer marked "EWALD STEEL DETROIT MICH. EVERYTHING IN STEEL" on the frame. We do not recommend this micrometer for precision use. It does work, but is not within calibration specs., and can not be calibrated, as there is no prevision for this on this tool, other than to have the tip or tips plated. It is off by about .002". On the other hand, this tool is a rare collectible advertising gift item from the 1950's era. If you collect these tiny micrometers, I doubt you have one with this marking on it. Condition is fair overall, some wear as mentioned, and some scratches on the thimble near the numbers, but the graduation numbers and the lines can all still be seen. A rare collectible micrometer!
