Iron hilt with single side ring, filled with pierced and chiseled plate; joining the knucklebow with an additional short flat bar. Single quillon and central decoration to the guard bars, chiseled ensuite. Plain ovoid pommel with button; wood grip, lacking wrap. Slender 33" diamond-section blade with 8" single fuller, deeply stamped with a makers name VVDEVS (Vudeus?). Metal showing lamination and scattered pitting. Overall length 39".
