Eskimo Inuit Soap Stone Carving Dog Sled Team artist signed "WE ©". The condition is very good if not excellent. The base slab was probably mounted on something else at one time as there is a little hook or something protruding from the front bottom edge of the base. The carving is very intricate with special attention of facial details. The native man has a sled full of fresh caught fish and a recently caught seal hanging from his back. The dog all facing different directions are in a restless crouched position as if they are waiting to start off again.
