This table is made from burr walnut which has a beautiful grain. To highlight the grain, this table has been French polished. French polish is an alcohol and shellac polish for wood, it takes a lot of patience and hard work to apply it, but it is one of the most beautiful finishes available, producing an exceptionally high gloss.

The table has eight leaves which can be added or removed as required by a special double wind out mechanism. When completely wound in, the table is transformed into a twelve seater dining table. The eight detachable leaves can be stored away until they are required. It has eight elegantly hand carved legs which are fitted with brass castors.


The table top and sides have exquisite marquetry decorations. These regal decorations include bouquets of beautiful flowers, musical instruments, vases, swirls and geometric designs.
