Offering this lovely 1892 black and white engraving of Parthenia and Ingomar from Bellinhauson's "Ingomar". Including frame measures 10 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" wide. Beautifully detailed engraving set into a carved wood frame with black finish. Protective glass covering, and wire hanger on back. Fine condition, no tears, stains, or holes. Original painting was by G H Swinstead, engraver was T G Appleton. Information sheet on back of frame. This engraving is from the 1892 book Character Sketches of Romance, Fiction, & The Drama by Rev. E. Cobham Brewer, LLD. Part of the reading on the sheet on back reads "Love, thou didst tell me, Love was a star to lead us on to heaven - Come, then, oh come! Its rays glitter before us, and bright and clear they light us on our way." A wonderful piece of artwork for any decor!
