We offer a splendid early 19th century English reticulated plate in the Chinese style. To the centre are various forms of mythological dragons. Predominately blue and orange, this is a most unusual plate. It is not marked, and dating is somewhat difficult. We have judged it to be early 19th century, between 1810 and 1820, as some of the designs are very similar to the Chinese taste included in the Brighton Pavilion. It has survived the approximately two centuries exce[tionally well without any chips or cracks. It measures 23.5 cm long, and 18.7 cm wide.
