English Georgian Vermilion Red Chinoiserie Grandfather Clock Attributed to William Jackson

This red japanned tallcase clock in the chinoiserie fashion dates from the mid eighteenth century, and has a movement attributed to the London clock maker, William Jackson.  Movement resides behind glass and may be accessed from sides and rear, and the mechanism was not secured snugly against the front face of the cabinet at time of photography.  Dial above the face carries the Latin phrase "Tempus Fugit" (time flies). Measures approximately 82 by 18 x 9 inches.  Movement is in need of restoration. ( George II III Regency British )
