This attractive Georgian 18k gold band is collet set (stone enclosed in gold) with seven natural oval turquoise cabochons ranging in color from light blue to deeper blue-green. The closed backs are in keeping with the period and the gold mounts have lightly reeded shoulders. From the early 19th century, the ring has added historical and antique value.
English, circa 1825.
Size 5 1/2. Turquoise section measures 3/4 in. (1.9 cm.) across. Central turquoise measures 4.5 x 4 mm. (cm.)
