This is a nice group of tanged carving chisel that are nice quality chisel but have no name on them. They are all in very nice condition, no damage noted, very nice hardwood handles. The largest one, (.45 wide x 11" long) with the darker handle is a cast steel full sweep gouge, with an out-channel sharpened edge. The casting parting lines can still be seen running down the center of the chisel as shown in the pictures. An unusual design, cuts good! The next shorter (.34 x 8.5" long), is a medium sweep out-channel gouge chisel, with a slight front bent style end, very nice! The two shortest ones are both (.35 x 6.6" long), both have a slight bent front, one is sharpened on the bottom, the other on the top of the cutting edge, a nice pair with steel ferrules instead of brass like the other two. Overall a nice group of 4 special carving chisel that I acquired in with a collection of English chisels from Great Britain. Although I am not positive of their origins, I am sure that they will make a nice addition to your collection.
