A 1920's beautiful hand embroidered and hand quilted peacock quilt. This quilt measures 72" x 84" and is in very good condition. It has excellent hand quilting with 14-16 stitches per inch. The fabric for the front and back is 100% cotton muslin and it has a cotton batting. The hand embroidery is excellent with no wear or damage. The quilt does have a section in the lower right hand corner that has a slight shadow stain. We believe that this is from being folded and stored in a cedar chest where the quilt was in contact with the wood and some of the wood oils created a slight stain along the exposed and contacted areas as seen in picture #6.
