Unavailable
Eliza Susan Quincy a neighbor and distant Cousin of the Adams Family, John Adams and John Quincy Adams, 6th President of the United States. Eliza was an artist and assisted her father Josiah Quincy; Mayor of Boston and President of Harvard, with his Memoirs and also painted a series of nine drawings that were part of the memoirs. The nine drawings showed local scenes surrounding the Quincey farm and the Boston area. This Grisaille watercolor is another example of Eliza Susan Quincy's documentation of the local history and landscape. A very rare example of her work.
