This is a beautiful glass animal in the Pony pattern produced by The Paden City Glass Co. of Paden City, WVA circa 1940’s. The mold for this animal was made for Barth Art Company, using the Barth Art Companies designs. According to The Encyclopedia of Paden City Glass, by Carrie and Jerry Domitz, other companies made pieces from these molds so it isn’t certain which are Paden City. This Pony stands 11-1/2 inches tall and is 5-1/2 inches from head to tail and 1-1/8 inches wide. The oval base is 5-1/2 inches long by 3-1/8 inches wide and has been ground and polished at the time of manufacture but still show traces of the pontil mark. The glass is crystal clear. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks. Shipping includes insurance. (DRT-A-XX91)
