McCallum presented exceptionally chic by way of Paris type women in their marvelous ads at the time-note the long-tunic of chiffon with ermine sleeves and louis-heeled slipper- the plush cushions of the spare chaise lounge- this is the epitome of chic for the Belle Epoque Era. Vanity Fair premiered in the year 1914 and became the arbiter of taste and style- a sort of social younger sister to the eminently chic Vogue.
