Eighteenth Century Armorial Painting

$650.00
Quantity available: 1
Retaining its original gilt frame and hanging ring is this late Eighteenth Century watercolor and gouache hatchment, and armorial rendering used at a nobleman's funeral in place of actual armaments. The grain and barrels depicted on this one suggest that they apply to a "beer baron, " a major branch of the new rich and honored of the early Machine Age. Full size approximately 12-1/2 inches by 10-1/2 inches. England , circa 1780
