Bernard Fleischaker and Hugo Baum became business partners in 1910, and after two dificult years of finding toys to buy, they decided to manufacture dolls and toys of their own. The Effanbee trademark is a blending of their names, Fee for Fleischaker and bee for Baum. The company still exists today. This doll is 19" tall with eyes that open and close and rooted hair, her legs bend at the knees and hips. She is dressed in a glown with hoop skirt, she wears nylon stockings and high heels.(2)
