Very nice walking cane with tortoiseshell markings on the wood and a silver cap to the handle. Metal under tip. Cap rises to a curve at the front of the handle. Silver is hallmarked: R.P. is the maker (possibly Robert Pringle &Sons) and the town is London, 1907. Hallmarks are faint. Stick measures 81.5 cm long (32 inches) and is 2.1 cm thick at the top tapering to 1.5 cm at the bottom tip (7/8 inch to 1/2 inch). Not sure what wood has been used - has a grain a little like oak and is golden in colour. Decoration of tortoiseshell pattern. Very good condition. Silver has dings and marks, but very nice and mellow with age.
