Halley's Comet made one of its 75 year periodic appearances in 1910 and caused a world sensation. Although this brooch can be read as a flower, its star-burst form and comet tail were clearly influenced by Halley's. It is graceful, elegant, and finely made, with the amethysts set in yellow gold and the diamonds set in platinum.
