Here's a small basket which I believe was made by the MicMac Indians. It has a carved wooden handle and the curled ribbon splint slats on the side. There is some remnant of color on the inside of the basket and a small ribbon that was on it when I purchased it. It came from an estate in upstate New York. If you collect small baskets, this is a nice one to add to that collection!
