Here's an early and unused sewing kit. It is hand-made and the inside is soft kit suede (I think that's what it's called. The stitching is very even. The person I bought it from thought it was late 1800's or early 1900's. Another person felt the material was French and much earlier. I don't know as I'm no expert on textiles. It's just a nice old sewing kit.
